PRODUCTION MANAGER

Established the Quality Department, prepared the production manual and standard operating procedures

When I joined White Aluminium - Glass Division, the production department is not yet established. Hence, the establishment of Production Department and the standard operating procedure has been my priority as soon as I became in-charge

ESTABLISHMENT OF PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT

With the extensive effort of the production team, we are able to achieve the following:

FORMING THE PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT - The Production Department has been formed in accordance with the need and the structure of the company. The manpower requirement is carefully studied and analyzed to ensure that it is optimized to achieve highest productivity. The production team members are carefully evaluated in order to ensure competency on their assigned tasks.
STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE (SOP) - The standard operating procudure was established in accordance with the following: (1) industry standards - ASTM, EN, etc., (2) Material suppliers' processing guideline or (3) Machine manufacturer guideline. The SOPs are communicated with the workers and are part of the routine trainings
CAPACITY PLANNING - Production plan is conducted relative to the production line capacity. The planning in-charge take into consideration the machine capacity, production deadline and productivity targets.
TRAINING AND AWARENESS - We established a system to ensure the competency of the workers by conducting a routine training to workers in the shop floor. The training records are kept and recorded in accordance with ISO 9001.
SAFETY COMPLIANCE - Production department is seriously imposing the safety procedures prepared and analyzed by the Health and Safety Department. Each section in-charge are monitoring the safety compliance of all their subordinates at all times within their respective sections.
QUALITY COMPLIANCE - Production department acknowledged the importance of compliance with the quality requirements. Workers undergo the routine quality training under the supervision of the QA/QC Department aiming to promote quality awareness among the workers.
CARE OF MACHINES AND EQUIPMENTS - Production operators undergo the routine training regarding machine and equipment handling supervised by the maintenance department. Proper use of the machineries and equipments are promoted among the operators to ensure the properties of the company are protected and will minimize unforseen breakdown in production.
CUSTOMER FOCUS - As production manager, I have direct communication with our customers for high profile projects providing them information and order status. Special requirements from the customer is communicated internally to all respective departments.
